Jeff Diggs — From IT to under the buffer.
Jeff left a career in IT to build the Lenexa shop with his son Connor. Aristocrat Detailing Kansas is family-owned and KC-rooted — a Kansas City native operation, run by people who've lived in this town their whole lives.
The career switch
Jeff didn't grow up in detailing. He grew up in Kansas City — and after a long career in IT, he walked away from it to go all-in on the work his son Connor had been building. The Aristocrat brand started with Connor and his original business partner in Raymore in 2016 (a shop the partner still runs today). The Lenexa location — Aristocrat Detailing Kansas — is what Jeff and Connor built together.
Career switchers tend to bring two things into a craft: an outsider's eye for what's broken about it, and the discipline to not cut corners they didn't grow up cutting. Jeff brought both. Process discipline from IT, paired with Connor's hands-on paint expertise, is the engine of how the shop operates.
What we promise. What we deliver.
"We treat every car like it's our own. We cut no corners and never take the easy, less effective option. We do it right. We say what we'll do — and then we do it."
That's not a slogan. It's the operating manual. Single-stage paint correction is included with every ceramic package — we don't lock swirls under coating glass. Wheel, trim, and glass coatings are included as standard, not up-sold. Pricing is published on the website. The same hands install your coating that wrote the article you read about it.
The shop runs on real credentials
Aristocrat operates as a manufacturer-certified installer for two industry-standard ceramic coating product lines. The shop holds both certifications and has held them for years.
Feynlab Certified Installer
The only Feynlab Certified Installer in Kansas City. Heal Plus (7-yr) and Ultra V3 (5-yr) coatings.
Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra
Certified installer for Gtechniq's flagship 9-year manufacturer-warrantied coating system.
Anyone can apply ceramic coating products. The barrier to claiming "professional ceramic coating" is zero. Real certification — Feynlab, Gtechniq — requires manufacturer training, facility inspection, and registered warranties tied to the installer.
Ten years. Forty-six thousand hours. Zero warranty claims.
Across more than a decade and 46,700+ professional hours, no Feynlab or Gtechniq warranty claim has ever been filed against an Aristocrat coating — much less denied. A properly installed coating on a properly maintained vehicle just keeps working. That's not luck. It's prep, application, cure, and customer education done in the right order, every time.

Why Aristocrat exists
The auto detailing industry is full of $199 "ceramic coating specials" that are actually spray-on quartz toppers, "lifetime warranties" that exceed any product's actual lifespan, and four-hour ceramic jobs that skip correction entirely. Aristocrat is built on the opposite philosophy: fixed pricing on the website, manufacturer-registered warranties, comprehensive packages, and the same family on every job.
- Single-stage paint correction included with every ceramic package — multi-stage is the upgrade.
- Wheel face, trim, and glass coatings included as standard — never up-sold add-ons.
- Published prices: $1,495 (Feynlab Ultra V3) or $1,995 (Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra). What you see online is what you pay.
- Service area: Lenexa, Overland Park, Olathe, Leawood, Shawnee, Mission, Prairie Village, and surrounding KC metro.
What Jeff writes about
The articles on this site come from the bay floor — written by the same people who install the coatings. No outsourced content, no AI-only blog posts that contradict each other across pages.
Topics Jeff covers: ceramic coating chemistry and longevity, paint correction technique (with Connor as the in-house expert), warranty realities vs. marketing claims, wash-routine science, PPF vs ceramic, manufacturer differences (Feynlab vs Gtechniq vs Ceramic Pro), and the local KC market.
